CHUNG TIRR FOUNDATION
Chung Tirr is a phrase in the Luo language of Eastern Africa meaning stand firm. It is often used to encourage people to stand strong, be bold, be confident and be of a courageous demeanour. Chung Tirr Foundation aims to develop empowered youth through interventions in sports, education, agriculture, and information technology. We believe that by imparting skills and knowledge, the lives of the beneficiaries and their communities will be greatly improved.
Education Development
Education is an integral part of our life. At Chung Tirr Foundation, We empower the youth through education by supporting students at Secondary and tertiary levels with scholarships.

Sports -Supporting Youth Talents
We support conservation efforts collect finances for various purposes such as improving infrastructural facilities or new technology, anti-pollution efforts and sustainable environmental activities.
Agriculture-promoting food security
We build effective partnerships through stakeholder involvement and engagement as a top priority to provide meaningful and relevant opportunities for promoting Food Security. The foundation seeks to introduce better farming practices
Information Technology-online jobs
The foundation works to empower the youth with online skills that will allow them to seize these opportunities. The foundation partners with stakeholders to develop digital skills amongst the youth such as graphic design, website design, digital marketing and e-commerce
At Chung Tirr we look to develop economically empowered wholesome individuals active in professional pursuits in traditional careers, sports and the arts, agriculture, and online businesses. We believe that there is a need for this diversity to overcome the challenges society faces.
About Us
Chung Tirr Foundation is established to promote social economic development of the youth of Siaya County and Kenya in general. The foundation focuses on the development of the youth by empowerment through education, sports, agriculture, and information technology
The organization aim is to promote:
- Nurture the youth’s talents by providing a platform for development of their skills and talents while emphasizing education.
- The foundation intends to support the development of professionals in the various fields that are academic, and skill or talent based.
- Social and economic empowerment of the youth.

Sports
We aim to develop facilities that will allow the nurturing of the sporting potential of the youth in football, basketball, rugby and other sports.
While recognizing that not everyone is academically gifted, the foundation harnesses the sporting talents of the youth to provide avenues for economic empowerment.

Information Technology
We aim to empower the youth and disadvantaged economically through various other avenues. Key among these is information technology. There is a big potential for creating employment online. The foundation aims to empower the youth to access online work and technology-related opportunities for economic advancement.

Agriculture
We promote better and efficient agricultural practices and crops in the area. Moving small-scale farmers away from subsistence rain-fed agriculture to high-value crops to give more income to farmers.
With a large youthful population, the promotion of farming amongst the youth as a tool for economic empowerment is encouraged. The foundation focuses on high value horticultural crops and fruits with a goal of processing for better returns to youthful farmers.
